Target will open its Black Friday promotion early on Thursday, Nov. 5. The three-day sale runs through Saturday, Nov. 7. After that window closes, the company plans to release limited-time discounts every weekend through the holiday season.

This launch is part of a wider campaign that began on Nov. 1 with the daily Offer of the Day. Target will feature a new promotion each day until Dec. 24. For the first time, shoppers can view the next day’s deal one day in advance. This allows customers to compare current prices with upcoming discounts before buying.

The retailer has added more than 8,000 new holiday gifts to its inventory. More than half of these new items are exclusive to Target. The majority of the new holiday merchandise is priced at $20 or less. Thousands of articles are available for $5 or less.

The holiday assortment includes festive decorations starting at $5. Family pajamas begin at $10. Cashmere apparel, excluding functional finishes, starts at $25. Synthetic fur blankets are listed at $30. The selection also includes LEGO, Barbie, and Nintendo toys. Target Beauty Studio will carry new and exclusive products from prestige, emerging, and international beauty brands. Favorite Day will offer classic candy and host gifts. The store will also stock exclusive items for sports and wellness fans.

Target has made its AI shopping assistant, Ask Target, available in a beta version on Target.com and in its mobile app. The tool suggests gift ideas and helps narrow down search results. The company also provides a digital kids’ holiday catalog and other AI features. In November, Target will launch Academy of Giftology, a campaign designed to answer common questions about gift selection.

The chain is also hiring employees to work in the United States during the holiday season. In New York, stores assist SNAP recipients in obtaining up to $10 extra per day. Target offers a discount to customers who bring their own shopping bags.
