Viewers seeking to watch the complete archive of the action drama "Mayor of Kingstown" can now stream the first four seasons on Netflix. This addition to the platform's catalog follows the announcement that the series is entering its final chapter. The move separates the back catalog from the upcoming new content, which will remain exclusive to a different service for the time being.
The fifth and final season of the show is scheduled to premiere on January 15, 2027. This date marks the end of the series created by Taylor Sheridan. The concluding run will consist of eight episodes. Unlike previous installments that eventually migrated to other platforms, these new chapters will debut exclusively on Paramount+.
Netflix subscribers will not be able to watch the new episodes immediately upon their release. The streaming giant will host the first four seasons, but the fifth season is expected to arrive on the platform no earlier than later in 2027. This delay aligns with typical licensing agreements that keep new content exclusive to the primary broadcaster for a set period.
The cast for the final season includes returning stars alongside two new additions. David Morse has joined the ensemble to play Russell Hardy, a seasoned FBI agent. Nestor Carbonell will portray Enrique Molina, a character described as a boss coming to Kingstown to avenge a relative who has gone missing. These characters are set to intersect with the existing storyline in the series finale.

The ad-free Premium plan, which includes access to Showtime titles and live CBS programming, costs $13.99 per month.
